With over 15 years of experience working with law firm executive teams as their financial advisor, she’s helped dozens of firms solve their biggest challenges and grow their bottom lines.
She founded PROFiX in early 2020, and grew a fully-remote, nation-wide accounting firm with no capital through the pandemic. She has since won many awards for her revolutionary business model, including Business in Vancouver’s prestigious Top Forty Under 40 award, and the Canadian Women of Inspiration Award.
Before launching PROFiX, Anna held CFO and Director of Finance and Operations roles at multiple prestigious firms including a high-end litigation firm led by 3 Chambers ranked King’s Counsel designated lawyers. Working with another high growth firm she was responsible for developing new financial processes from the ground up while supporting the firm in reaching its growth revenue targets near 50% year over year and winning them the Fastest Growing Business award from Business in Vancouver.
Anna holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of the Fraser Valley. She completed the Certified General Accountant Program in 2014 with honors. Anna was an active member of the British Columbia Legal Management Association and was on the board of the Vancouver Association for Survivors of Torture as the finance chair. She has been honoured with over 8 business awards since she started PROFiX in 2020 for her innovative leadership and business success.
With over 25 years of experience working as a bookkeeper for law firms, it goes without saying she’s seen (and fixed) almost every kind of problem a law firm’s finances could have. In fact, when a complicated file comes in, she’s the first one offering to tackle that challenge. With an excited gleam in her eye, she dives in and uncovers issues even the law firm didn’t know they had, and rapidly turns out clean, organized ledgers.
Connie joined PROFiX in July 2021 after a chance meeting with a client led her to a coffee with Anna DiBella, and rest (as they say) is history. Having never worked in a remote environment or with such a wide-variety of cloud-based software, Connie took on this learning curve with the same enthusiasm she has for client challenges, and quickly adapted to this new way of working.
Connie is the epitome of PROFiX core values, completing trust audits with success, fixing problem files, getting clients back on track, and earning their admiration and rave reviews.
When not at the keyboard, Connie is a weekend warrior, balancing grandma duties with completing long, multi-day hiking trips, hitting the gym, and occasionally relaxing with a good book. Her dream is to one day see the polar bears in Churchill, Manitoba.
The “Boss” part of the title is no joke—turning frustrations (big or small) into company strengths is what Celene does best.
Whether working in commercial real estate appraisal or running a digital marketing agency, Celene has consistently been driven by a desire to optimize and streamline operations. A total nerd for numbers and systems, she excels at process improvement.
After graduating from the Sauder School of Business and becoming a mom, Celene chose to leave the corporate world in favor of helping small and medium-sized businesses enhance their efficiency and profitability.
At PROFiX, Celene is responsible for overseeing technology, marketing support, graphic design, and special projects. She is also the Founder and CEO of
Chops Consulting, a business consulting firm specializing in operations, marketing, and technology. When she’s not wrestling back-end logistics into submission, you can find her growing beets and blueberries in her massive veggie garden or chasing her little humans down forest trails.
After obtaining her Paralegal accreditation at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), Kate began her legal journey at one of Calgary's largest civil litigation law firms, before quickly rising in the ranks, and leading the administration and accounting team at a boutique family law firm in AB.
Immersing herself in the intricacies of bookkeeping and full-cycle accounting, she then collaborated with businesses across the country, establishing her own accounting firm in Calgary, specializing in meeting their unique bookkeeping needs.
Kate was a founding employee of PROFiX joining the firm in early 2021, embracing new challenges and advancing her professional development. She is currently pursuing her CPA designation, aiming to achieve it within the next two years. Kate provides CFO-level services and strategic financial consulting to our legal clients, ensuring they receive expert financial guidance and support. Kate is the protege of Anna DiBella and plans to join as the firms first partner upon her graduation.
Having grown up in the breathtaking landscapes of Canmore, Alberta before moving to Calgary to attend a specialized school for gifted children, followed by prestigious Brentwood College on Vancouver Island for high school and later studying at Herstmonceux Castle in England for University, Kate’s pursuits of academic excellence have taken her far from home.
After establishing herself professionally, Kate’s profound love of the outdoors has taken her back to the mountains, where she now resides in the town of Fernie, BC, balancing solving her clients’ toughest problems, with speeding down slopes on her mountain bike or her skis.
As the General Manager at PROFiX, Kellyn is instrumental in running company operations, overseeing client and employee onboarding, and managing HR. She joined PROFiX in the Spring of 2021 as Anna DiBella’s Executive Assistant and has been a key player in both administrative and cultural aspects of our team.
It quickly became apparent she had a knack for every responsibility that came her way - from managing the marketing department, to organizing annual company retreats which are talked about widely both internally and by everyone jealous their company’s don’t offer the same. Needless to say, she quickly became indispensable to PROFiX, and was promoted to General Manager.
Today, it is widely acknowledged that she is central to our amazing company culture, nurturing a warm atmosphere where every employee feels appreciated.
Before joining PROFiX, Kellyn gained five years of administrative experience at one of Canada’s leading boutique law firms, where she worked as a Receptionist and Legal Assistant alongside Anna DiBella.
In her free time, Kellyn enjoys exploring Vancouver, experimenting with new recipes, and spending quality time with family and friends. Kellyn also completed her 200hr yoga teacher training certification in 2020 and proudly ran the BMO Vancouver Half Marathon in May 2024.
Arev is one of those rare people who actually asks for more work. For more challenging work. For those difficult clients that nobody else wants to handle. She thrives by staying busy and continually learning all she can about bookkeeping, trust accounting, and the legal industry.
Arev's journey to Canada (and to PROFiX!) is marked by resilience and determination. After fleeing Syria during the war, she moved to Lebanon in 2015 where she worked as an administrative assistant. She later moved to Canada as a refugee, and completed the Admin Accounting and Bookkeeping program at Vancouver Community College in 2022 - all while taking care of her newborn baby!
She joined PROFiX as a practicum student, and it quickly became clear that she would be an excellent fit to join the team long-term, and needless to say she did not disappoint. She has proven herself to be meticulous in identifying errors in client records and implementing solutions, all while delivering an amazing client experience.
She hopes to continue to grow in her career and is planning to work on achieving her CPA in the future. In her free time, she loves to go on long walks, watch movies, and spend time with her daughter.
We are so happy to support high performing new professionals and provide them with Trust Accounting Skills as we know there is a serious lack of skilled bookkeepers in the legal industry.
Cheri has over a decade of experience as a self-employed bookkeeper and extensive administrative experience, particularly in the oil and gas industry. She brings her wealth of expertise from previous roles to breathe new life into our existing bookkeeping processes to help fine tune them.
If you notice two Werzun’s on our team, it’s not a coincidence! Cheri joined PROFiX in 2022 after her sister-in-law, Connie, encouraged her to apply for an open role. We are so glad she took her up on the suggestion!
After her children were grown, she was ready for a new challenge and exploring both legal accounting, as well as the new experience of working remotely and with new legal-specific software was exactly that. She embraced the opportunity to learn these new systems with dedication and ease.
Outside of work, Cheri stays active (alongside her sister when they’re in town together) with activities like going to the gym, playing ball hockey, running and hiking, walking her dogs, camping, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Kimmy’s career journey as a Bookkeeper began with a diverse background, including a decade in the tourism industry and a diploma in Tourism Management from Capilano University. She transitioned to bookkeeping after completing a certificate program at Okanagan College, working with QBO and Sage50, and was referred to PROFiX as someone who would be an excellent fit to work here (they did not lie!).
Before joining the bookkeeping field, Kimmy managed operations at a heli-skiing lodge, and worked as a Chief Steward on yachts. Incredibly, she balanced full-time work while completing her bookkeeping certificate in just one year. At PROFiX, she finds satisfaction in reconciling statements and matching large trust deposits to invoices.
Originally from Salt Spring Island, Kimmy now lives in Invermere, where she loves mountain biking, paddle boarding, skiing, and skating. When she’s not outdoors, she’s a fan of reality TV, and recently adopted a Border Collie/Blue Heeler mix named Roxy.
